About this polaroid:

Elska Charity Polaroid no.4:

Title: “BROKEN TROPICAL” / Subject: Lane B / Location: Montréal, Québec, Canada

Polaroids are by nature an imperfect, shonky sort of medium. And the shittest, most fucked-up of all the Polaroids we took in Montréal is this one, which is overexposed and is literally broken in the top-right corner. I don’t know for sure but I believe this happened because the corner of the photograph was snagged or touched too soon after removing it from the camera developer. Often these brown patches are signals of a damaged pack, but since this was the only image in the pack with this problem, I think it was a mishandling error instead. In any case, I still enjoy it because it’s the only pic taken of Lane in his bathroom, which had a fabulous tropical shower curtain.
