NÆS Print no. 034: "The Hawk"

Photographed by Liam Campbell, this portrait is of Haukur G, the 34th subject photographed for Elska, photographed ten years after our first shoot for our NÆS 01 (Restless Relentlessly) special edition zine.

I first met Haukur, whose name means ‘hawk’ in Icelandic, when shooting Elska Reykjavík, which was originally released in January 2026. Exactly ten years later, we happened to meet again when I got stuck in Reykjavík due to a winter storm delay. We decided to repeat our shoot, which started out almost as an exact duplication, but then things got a lot sexier. It turns out that Haukur had gotten a lot less shy since our first meeting, and so did I! This image captures Haukur in his full glory, including his glorious hawk tattoo, proving that he was truly worth the wait to see again!
