Photographed by Liam Campbell, this portrait is of Símon B, the 841st subject photographed for Elska, part of our Elska Akureyri (Iceland) series.

In over ten years of making Elska, I'd yet to ever meet a gay farmer. That all changed with Símon, who invited me to his farm to shoot him there. This image is a variation on the shot that made the cover of Elska Akureyri, but this one has a bit of a sexier expression, a clue to the fact that our next scene would take place naked on a pile of hay.
