Photographed by Liam Campbell, this portrait is of Lucas A, the 706th subject photographed for Elska, part of our Elska Tbilisi (Georgia) series.

The name ‘შუშაბანდი’ [‘shushabandi’] is a reference to the old covered balconies that are a highlight of residential architecture throughout Tbilisi. We did many photoshoots in these settings, but this particular balcony where we photographed Lucas brought in the most amazing light.
