Elska Print no. 919: "La Moda"

Photographed by Liam Campbell, this portrait is of Alessandro Florio, the 919th subject photographed for Elska, part of our Elska Milan series.

Fashion was a big part of my inspiration when shooting the Milan issue. However, because of how clichéd such a theme could be for a city like this, I wanted to queer my inspiration as much as possible. This resulted in several photographs that I took as if they had been part of commercial fashion campaigns, but with certain aspects that made them too queer to ever actually be used as such. For example, this one, where the green Adidas jacket is worn on the model's head and his cock is out. Before starting Elska, my dream was to be a fashion photographer, and I suppose this is the sort of fashion photographer I would have been!
