Photographed by Liam Campbell, this portrait is of Terence D, the 276th subject photographed for Elska, part of our Elska Cape Town (South Africa) series.

Terence was one of those guys for whom his looks were deceiving. Maybe it was the glasses, maybe it was his body type… but he just seemed to me like he'd be meek. However, once in front of the camera, he was far from shy… except for in this shot. The name ‘Slaka’ comes from the Icelandic word ‘to relax'. Here he's looking calm yet sexy, relaxed yet raring to go!
