Elska Print no. 005: "Putin F Off"

Photographed by Liam Campbell and assisted by Andriy Melnyk, this portrait is of Sasha K, the 5th subject photographed for Elska, part of our Elska Lviv (Ukraine) series.

When we then released the first edition of Elska Lviv, we had an alternate version of this image on the cover, one without the middle finger. We thought it was already too controversial, but when the war against Ukraine escalated, we decided to change the cover to this version. He deserves all the hate he can get!

By the way, the graffiti behind Sasha is an abbreviation of the phrase ‘Путин, пошел на хуй’ which translates roughly to ‘Putin, fuck off'.
