Elska Print no. 005: "Putin Fuck Off"

Photographed by Liam Campbell and assisted by Andriy Melnyk, this portrait is of Sasha K, the 5th subject featured in Elska, part of our Elska Lviv (Ukraine) series.

When we released the first edition of Elska Lviv, we had an alternate version of this image on the cover, one without the middle finger. (Note that the graffiti behind Sasha is an abbreviation of the phrase ‘Путін пішов нахуй’ [‘Путин, пошел на хуй’] which translates roughly to ‘Putin, fuck off' or ‘Putin, go fuck yourself'.) When the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, we reissued Elska Lviv and decided to change the cover to this version that included Sasha's middle finger. Because that monster deserves all the hate he can get!
